Handbags and Gladrags

I promised to show you some of the new clothes I bought and here they are :) They are really dark plain colours, mainly grey, making it look like I wear really drab clothes. I don't usually, this it just what I happened to buy! I felt really wintry when I bought them so they're quite woolly and warm! I was also thinking of the sixth form term to come, it is the winter term after all!

(Plain grey jumper with elbow pads- £20 from H&M, they didn't have size medium so I bought a large, so it's baggy but really comfy!)

(Superdry hoodie- actually bought in the airport so was reduced to £35. I always have a superdry hoodie that I live in, one was worn so much it got holes in so this is its replacement!)

(Blue skinny jeans from H&M, they look very boring in this photo, I suppose they are just plain blue jeans! And only £20 which was nice!)

(Another boring hoodie from H&M- £15. After the 'hoodie in the fire' incident which my mother doesn't know about (see 'drunken tales and inexplicable bruises') I needed a new wear-always-and-trash hoodie. It's a size 14 as I wanted it to be baggy and comfy)

So that is the end of my new clothes, I got a few more things that I haven't taken pictures of yet so they might appear on this post in a few days! Oh and I hope you like the photos, I tried to be all arty and make them look more interesting with a close-up view as well :)

I just got un-followed by someone :'( I'm sorry for whatever I did, I guess you can't please everyone :(

Untitled

Just thought I'd share this picture with you, I really like it even if it is a bit cheesy! I would also like to point out that this is my 19th post in August which is a new record for me :) Even when I'd just started in January I only posted 16 times. It might be because it's the summer holidays but I've definitely enjoyed blogging much more recently :)

So this is when I thank you, my followers. Lots of people do this, explaining that when they started their blog they never thought anyone would want to read it and I am saying the same. So yes, thank you all very much for your time, comments and for reading my blog, it means a lot :)

If any of you have any suggestions on how to improve this blog or what sort of posts you enjoy reading and would like to see more of, then please let me know. You are the readers and value your opinions :)

Bathtime

Sorry for not posting in a few days, I've been in Bath for the weekend with my mum :) We drove to Bristol on Friday to see my step-grandma who I've only met once before. It was nice to see her but she does talk a lot! She's 84 and lives on her own so obviously likes to chat, mostly about the past and people we've never met which can get tedious! We were there for about 5hours so were exhausted when we left.
We checked into our guesthouse in Bath- it was really posh but the people were friendly :) It was a family run business but fairly small with only 5 rooms for guests and the rest of the house for the family. On Friday evening me and my mum went out for a meal in the centre of Bath and spent the next day shopping (this was as a reward for my GCSEs and also as I need clothes for sixth form) I got a few things, mainly from H&M which I'll post on here soon :) Both my parents went to university in Bath so my mum showed me all the places they used to go to and where they lived. It's such a nice place! I would consider going to uni there myself, except they don't do vet courses :(
We went out for pizza on Saturday night and the next day went to visit a family friend. She's just had a baby so we went to visit her (and little Max) for about a hour which was nice, he's such a cutey! We then drove home and spent the rest of the day just hanging around the house, I tidied my room and wrote my CV for work experience applications, fun times :)
(These pictures are all from www.weheartit.com I always try and find topical photos so was looking for one of a baby and stumbled across this beauty, it's so sweet!)

I hope you all had a good weekend, I'll try and do a clothes post tomorrow with the stuff I bought in Bath..that's if I have time, the grandparents are coming round because it's a bank holiday :)

Viens Voir Happy Teenager

So...GCSE results. I wasn't going to write them on here but why not? I write this blog to be honest not modest. After all that anticipation and lack of sleep (I was up til 5am in the end) I got 7 A*s and 4 As and yes I was bloody surprised!! So many people got amazing results- most of my friends got all As and A*s, we're such geeks 8) So I spent the day a friend's house with a load of really happy people watching Mulan and our prom video :D My parents were really pleased with my grades and my grandma cried down the phone! She's usually a tough nut but she was so emotional!
In the evening I managed to get a plus-one to a party...it was a very select group of people, very much 'the cool kids' of our school so awkwardness was expected. We got there at about 9pm to find about 40 drunk kids, fun times :) It wasn't awkward- I just got drunk and stuck with the people I know :P We got kicked out at 11.30 so went to the park for a bit, I ended up getting home at 2.30 (my parents go to bed and trust me to get myself home) because the guys who walked me back were so slow! It was a good night, I'm glad I went, otherwise I would have been sat at home when I wanted to celebrate :D
Yesterday evening I went to a friend's house with a big group of people to watch movies :D We all snuggled up on the sofas with duvets all night :) Being cool we watched Robin Hood (the cartoon version :P) then Harry Potter, where we sat deciding who was which character (I'm Ginny :P) I ended up getting home at 1.30, ahh I do love the freedom of the holidays. I've had such a nice time recently hanging out with friends just being relaxed that I'm dreading getting up early and trying to find my way in a new school :/ Oh I'll leave it for another post :)

How did your results go if you got them on Tuesday?

Thank you for reading, Georgina xx

P.S. The title is from a song called 'Cooler Couleur' by Crookers. Check it out, it's a bit weird but had a good beat and the lyrics are pretty funny :)

Indeed

I thought this one deserved a post of it's own.

Bonne Chance

So this is it...GCSE results day. Good luck to you all although it's twenty to three in the morning when I'm writing this so you probably won't read it until after you've opened that dreaded envelope.

I've had an alright day, mixed in with lots of nerves, stress and conversations about what would be 'disappointing' or 'adequate' or 'my highest expectation'. I'll be completely honest with you now, I don't have too much to worry about, seeing as all GCSEs count for is getting into college/sixth form and I am in the nice posistion to have that pretty much granted. Buuuut...this doesn't stop me being nervous!

I went to young farmers tonight (I basically started going as I want to be a vet and thought it would look good on the old CV, I am starting to enjoy it though!) But anyway, yer it was just a meeting in the pub- I told them about results day to which their reaction was "You've gotta get wasted tonight" After lots of persuasion they bought me a coke- "because we don't want to make it too obvious but don't worry it's got something stronger in" Hahaha gotta love em :) I don't know what they put in it but it tasted pretty good :L

Huh, I'm so worried. I am excited though. This sounds weird but it feels like Christmas...because of the anticipation. The big build up to one small moment, like opening a present that you might be disappointed with and have to wait a whole year for another...opening that envelope could be good or bad, it doesn't have too much impact on your life but still means a lot. I dunno, I just hope I do as well as I want- I worked hard, I could've worked harder but you always can.

Good luck everyone, I hope you all get the results that you were hoping for.

Georgina xx

P.S. The original title of this post was 'bon chance' then I realised that's incorrect- now I'm shit scared about my french result!

Photo Jenny

I'm not really one for talking photos of myself and posting them- there's nothing wrong with it, I'm just not particularly photogenic and never have clothes worthy of an outfit post! Anyway, this evening I was just messing around with my hair and it looked quite nice so I thought I'd post some pics :) I'll also try and explain what I did although it won't work if your hair's not curly, sorry!
(Very posed, I apologise! And they're in black and white, not because I fancy myself as a model but because we all look better without colour! Plus I wasn't wearing any make-up :/)
One of my friends has naturally really curly hair and I was talking to her about how she gets it to look so nice. See mine's curly but only at the bottom and if I blow dry it it goes straight/wavy. Anyway she told me that she never brushes or combs her hair and just leaves it to dry naturally. So I thought I'd give it a go as my hair is in a sorry state at the moment and I needed a plan to give it some life (I haven't had it cut in ages!)

So I washed it and left it to dry, I couldn't help but brush the front when it was wet because it looked really rat-taily. I also ended up putting some styling cream in it to tame the frizz! I then pulled it over to one side and hair-gripped it into place. I left a bit at the front on the other side to even it out, luckily it was curly so didn't just fall flat. It didn't look all that nice from the back but with some hairspray and a few more grips it would look much better :)

So yes that's about it for my vain post, you never know there might be some more in the future! I hope I was of some help, maybe to those with wavy hair, like me, who crave proper curly locks :P I'll be having my hair cut soon, what do you think...keep it long? Get the side fringe back? Shorter layers? Thanks for reading :)

The Rest of the World has Gone Home

As you may know my parents went away last week so I decided to have a BBQ with a big group of friends. I tried to explain my friends to you in another post but I'll give it another go:

I have the group of friends who I used to hang round with at school. They like drinking/parties/boys and generally go out a lot getting drunk and having fun. If I invited them round they'd bring vodka, fags and a load of their friends. They're the ones I go camping with and when I tell you about my drunken tales they're bound to be involved! They're all awesome though, I don't want you to think I hang round with a load of bitches, they wouldn't make me do anything and we always have a good time!
Then there's my other friends. There's a group called 'the clan' which sounds really intimidating but they're all lovely. I know lots of people in the group individually so get invited to some of their things. They're really friendly and have BBQs and gatherings at people's houses. If I invited them round they'd bring a few beers, a DVD and would take their shoes off at the door. (My mum would love them)
So yeah, they sound like 2 extremes but it's not that bad. I get on with both groups just as well so it's nice for me as I get to do both types of things- have friendly gatherings but still enjoy going out and messing around. So back to my free house for the week. I wanted to invite people round but had the trouble of deciding who. In the end I went with the quieter, friendly ones as I don't want my house trashed by drunkards and party crashers. I said they could drink so they brought some beers and cider etc. on condition they took the cans away at the end which they obediently followed!

The plan was a BBQ but the typical English weather went against us as usual! So we stayed inside :) It was a really fun night, a few people got a bit drunk but didn't cause any trouble. A bowl was broken which wasn't a problem but I still got an apologetic facebook message from the guy who did it insisting I let him pay (I told him not to worry!) You get the idea of what they're like! I would put some photos up but they're all rubbish, maybe if any more are put on facebook I'll show you :) Haha so yeah that's my friends for you...it's gonna be weird when we go back to school, I might have to pick whick group to go with as they'd never all be friends together :/ It'll sort itself out, I'm sure :)

I hope you've all had a good week :) Thanks for reading, Georgina x

A New Look

Hey guys, just thought I'd share the fact that my blog has a new look...well a new background :) I didn't want you to get confused and think you were on a random blog that you'd never seen before!

I finally cracked the blog background changing thing and decided to go for it. I dunno why it was pink before, I'm not a very pink person which will probably surprise you giving the old colour scheme :P The new one's very me, what do you think? Sort of union jack with a twist, actually the more I look, the more I like it! Next it'll be the header, it's getting a bit old now but I'll leave it there for a bit as not to confuse you too much!

Better get some shut-eye now. A-level results tomorrow (later actually cos it's 2am) good luck everyone! I've just done my GCSEs but I did As art early so I'm getting my result tomorrow. I'm not too worried seeing as I'm not carrying it on, I just hope it gets delivered (I didn't want to go into school to get it so I gave in an envelope apparently with the wrong stamp on so it won't arrive! Typical me)

Sticks 'n' Stones

The letter challenge continued...

16. Letter to someone that's not in your city or country-
I couldn't really think of anyone for this so I thought I'd use my cousin. So to you, Julia- I've seen you grow up, I hope I know you quite well but I think it's your surroundings that will change you. You have a strong personality even at a young age but I can see people pressurising you into being something you're not. We all have a time when the most important thing is to fit in and hopefully you'll soon realise that it's not. I hope you trust me and that you don't grow up and away from us. Georgina (or 'Nina' as you once called me!) xx

17. Letter to someone from your childhood-
It's funny that we used to be the best of friends. We didn't see each other for ages and even in secondary school didn't talk for 3 years! I hear different opinions of you from different people but I think you're alright. It shows how simple it is when you're little and make friends by sharing a crayon or something! So yeah, I doubt we'll ever be good friends again but it's good to talk to you from time to time :) Haha cya around, Georgina x

18. Letter to the person you wish you could be-
In no way shape or form do I 'wish I could be you'. I don't wish I could be anyone really. But there are many aspects of your life that are desirable. You seem to have everything going your way. You are the one person who will always do things better than me- you're pretty, clever, sporty, artistic and popular (I don't envy your popularity as everyone knows you are forced to be fake and I could never keep up that front) I really hope that the one ambition we have in common will favour me for once. I put in so much effort but you seem to get by with no input whatsoever. So yes, we shall see.

19. Letter to someone that pesters your mind (good or bad)-
To be honest, good and bad. You are a wonderful friend but with so many bad qualities. You make so much effort with texting me, ringing me and inviting me out, but with the important things you're not so good. You often use me, you ring me up to talk about yourself and when it moves to me you're not interested. You use my house as a service- there at your convenience and it's just not fair. Recently more people have asked me 'Is she really a good friend?' and even people I don't know well say 'It sounds like she uses you'. You pester my mind because I love you but I feel slightly trapped. Gina xx

20. Letter to the one that broke your heart the hardest-
I don't think I've ever had my heart broken. I've been let down and hurt many times but in the heartbreaking department I seem to be good for now.

21. Letter to someone you judged by the first impression-
I thought you were alright on the first impression. It was the impressions after that which changed my opinion. To be honest you seemed like a bit of a bitch, quite vain and you can tell you think highly of yourself. Now I know you a bit better I see the nice person underneath all of that but that surface still exists. I hear some of the things you do which are just not nice, but you still expect to be treated nicely yourself.

22. Letter to someone you want to give a second chance to-
I don't know what happened with us, we were best friends and the next day we weren't. We get on so well so let's make the most of it. If we spend more time together there will be more good times and more memories. We've been equally nasty to each other but it was so long ago that surely we can forget it? I hope so, Ginie xx

Hope you're all well, feel free to do this challenge if you wish, details are further down the page :)

Drunken Tales and Inexplicable Bruises

Here's a little update on my life...I haven't posted in a while so I'll make it long one with a few pics added in as not to bore you! Well my parents are away at the moment so it's just me and my brother, it's nice to have a quiet house, but it's a bit of a drag having to cook plus I turn into the mum- telling my brother to wash up while I tidy the kitchen and do the washing :/ Bad I know, I think I've given up now, it's too much effort!

So anyway I took advantage of the fact the rents are away and had a few friends stay round last night. We all went out...when I say 'out' I don't mean anywhere exciting just cos y'know, we're 16, what much can you do? So we went to the woods just out of our town...I'll be honest with you, to get drunk :) Someone made a facebook group and invited half my year (only about 40/50 people went in the end, still quite a few though!) I always find these things really awkward at first, just cos I'm no good in big groups plus it's not really my close friends. (I'm a weird one, I kind of have 2 groups of friends- the good ones who don't drink and have friendly gatherings and BBQs in the daytime and then the not-so-good ones who get drunk, go to parties and generally take more risks. So I'm quite lucky cos I get a mixture of the two!)

Back to what I was talking about...yeah we all went to the woods and after a bit of awkwardness ended up drunk, talking to random people and generally having a laugh. I'm going to sound really sad now but I want to be honest....I really like being drunk. I really do, I can talk to whoever I want without giving a crap about what they think, I'm not worrying about who to talk to next or what time it is or what I look like. It's great! I spent most of the night laughing hysterically with people or just talking crap with randomers :L
I will admit I have had some bad experiences with alcohol before, but the goods outweigh the bads :) I wasn't too bad last night, I got quite angry at a lot of people telling them to fuck off etc. not for any reason! That's not like me so no one was offended, they know it's the booze talking :P I also got a bit upset...it's a long story but my hoodie got put on the campfire, I know what you're thinking "Jeez she has bad friends, why would you hang out with people who'd do that" but the person who did it didn't know it was mine and was drunk so I think it was an accident. Plus he send me a message today apologising so I'm not bothered, he's a nice guy :) Everyone else was lovely too, I think cos I was upset for a reason people were sympathetic, whereas normally girls just get drunk and cry so get no sympathy!
So we stumbled home at about 2am with a few guys (that makes me sound slaggy but they all insist on walking girls back and we had a laugh on the way) I ended up sitting on my garden wall, waiting for the others to catch up, with a random guy from a different school. We had quite a good conversation actually! Talked about how we both sleep walk/talk and gave each other advice on how we should have our hair! Haha, drunken conversations are the best :L
This morning I was a bit of a bitch to my friends :/I was hungover, tired after only 4 hours sleep, pissed off cos they wouldn't leave my house and I generally don't do mornings. So they didn't see me at my best!

Thanks for reading this story/rant/confession/rushed post(only cos I want some sleep!)

Georgina x

P.S Had my braces tightened today and some extra brackets put on=PAIN. It hurts almost as much as when I first got them. I took 5 paracetamols within a few hours and they had no effect -.- Rant over and out.

Oh Marilyn

"This life is what you make it. No matter what, you're going to mess up sometimes, it's a universal truth. But the good part is you get to decide how you're going to mess it up. Girls will be your friends - they'll act like it anyway. But just remember, some come, some go. The ones that stay with you through everything - they're your true best friends. Don't let go of them. Also remember, sisters make the best friends in the world. As for lovers, well, they'll come and go too. And baby, I hate to say it, most of them - actually pretty much all of them are going to break your heart, but you can't give up because if you give up, you'll never find your soul mate. You'll never find that half who makes you whole and that goes for everything. Just because you fail once, doesn't mean you're gonna fail at everything. Keep trying, hold on, and always, always, always believe in yourself, because if you don't, then who will, sweetie? So keep your head high, keep your chin up, and most importantly, keep smiling, because life's a beautiful thing and there's so much to smile about."
-Marilyn Monroe

Cigarettes in the Theatre

I'm going to carry on with the letter challenge that I started about a week ago (look further down the page for the list of questions and details about the post) I finished on number 8 last time- 'letter to your favourite internet friend' so next on the list is, of course, number 9 :)

9. Letter to someone you wish you could meet-
To my future husband (if you exist) I don't want to ruin any surprises but I wish I could meet you. Just so when we are old I can remember you when you were young. So we know the past as well as the present and it's not just a story or a photograph, it's a memory. If you do exist then you are out there somewhere, which is a confusing thought. I could walk past you tomorrow, you could be someone I know or someone across the world. I look forward to meeting you :) x

10.Letter to someone you don't talk to you as much as you'd like to-
Hello again, you're going to get fed up with all these letters but you've come up a lot in this! We can talk for hours so why don't we? I don't like bothering you but you say how we should catch up and so we should. We will both have to make more effort.

11. Letter to a deceased person you wish you could talk to-
To my grandfather, I don't know you, I've never met you but I only hear good things of you. I don't know what I would ask you if I could, but it would have been nice to have you around. Especially for my mum I know she misses you.

12. Letter to the person you hate most/caused you a lot of pain-
It's so odd but that part of my life is a blur. Maybe because I was young but I remember before that year and after it but the time in between just merges. It's like a dream that I never think about. When I do, I realise what a big deal it was- I took it in my stride and all the teachers watched on, not understanding why I put up with it until that day when I finally couldn't take it anymore. I cannot look you in the eye.

13. Letter to someone you wish could forgive you-
I'll will be honest, I can't really think of anyone. I've fallen out with people but we usually make up. The only people I can think of are insignificant- never good friends, no one who has had an impact on my life. Surely people who matter would forgive you? I just hope I've never hurt anyone enough that it will stay with them for long.

14. Letter to someone you've drifted away from-
I'll be honest with you I have no idea why we're not good friends anymore. We get on so well when we are together but we've both changed I suppose. We used to be so close, trust each other so much and have such a laugh. Now you seem superficial somehow, like there's more to you even though that's how you always are. I don't think we'll ever be as close as we were but I still love you :) Ginie xx

15. Letter to the person you miss the most-
Even though you're here in person, you're not quite here in mind. You know sometimes when you look in the mirror and you don't recognise yourself? That's how I am with you..the person doesn't match the face. It's so odd, maybe because I've known you for so long but you aren't the same girl I knew then.

That's it for now, halfway through already! I enjoyed writing these and hope you enjoyed reading them. There'll be more in the future :)

Georgina x

P.S. The title of this post is a song by Two Door Cinema Club- their music is insatantly lovable.

Venice

Hello hello! How I have missed you all! I'm back from Venice with so many pictures to share and stories to tell, I could fill hundreds of posts but I will try and keep them to a minimum :)

I'll start by telling you about Venice...not a load of history but I might add in a few facts here and there :) From the plane it looked beautiful- really Italian with terracotta tiles on all the roofs, and loads of water. It's an island but is basically a network of canals, with the grand canal going through the middle. The streets are mainly alleyways but with loads of bridges over the water (455 to be exact) I didn't see a single car/bike/moped the whole time! There are so many boats though, the canals are full of gondolas while the surrounding sea has water buses which seem to be the main way of getting around. But yes, it's a beautiful place, amazing architecture with churches round every corner! We stayed near St Marks square which is the busiest part, the whole place is full of tourists!

So here's what we got up to...

Wednesday
We got the plane from East Midlands airport (me and my mum) arrived in Venice then got the water bus to the main island. We found the hotel then had a wander around the city including to Rialto bridge which was really busy but had a great atmosphere.
(one of the the water bus stops)
Thursday
We bought a day water bus ticket and first went to the old Jewish Ghetto- it was amazing with 5 synagogues hidden inside the buildings. It poured it down with rain so we sat in a cafe for a while before getting the bus to random places and just exploring :)
(me outside the entrance to the ghetto)
Friday
We went to the Peggy Guggenheim modern art collection in the afternoon and saw some amazing art like Picasso, Klee, Dali and Mondrian. We went to a few churches and then St Mark's Basilica which was huge! Then spent the evening wandering round, especially in St Mark's square where they have bands playing music so it's a great atmosphere.
(Basilica di San Marco)
Saturday
We got a free water taxi to the glass factory on Murano island (courtesy of the hotel) which was really interesting. The island was pretty but they didn't let us walk round much, they wanted to take us back quickly and dropped us on a completely random part of the island- it took us 40mins to walk back to St Mark's! We spent the rest of the day visiting other sights, got an ice cream and drank lots of coffee :P
(An empty cappuccino :P)
Sunday
We spent a while negotiaing prices with gondoliers and finally found a french couple to share the cost with. So we had a nice gondola trip through the canals, we then walked across the city seeing different churches, eating in nice cafes and stopping to take lots of photos!
(A gondalier under one of the many bridges!)
Monday
We went up the big tower in St Mark's square and could see the whole of Venice it was stunning. We then went to cafe Florian which is really posh- my mum really wanted to go there before we left! We got charged an extra €6 each because the band was playing! We got the bus to the airport after queuing for ages in the sun to find our flight was delayed for 3hrs 20mins -.- We finally got the plane home after a long journey :)
(Posh cafe, opened in 17 something!)

So yes that's about it for what we actually did, that's just the basics. We went for loads of nice meals and spent most of the time wandering around just getting lost and exploring the city. It really is beautiful, if any of you are planning a holiday then consider going, I had a brilliant time and would love to go back!

Thank you for reading, Georgina xx

When a man is tired of London...

Today I went to London with my dad to meet his friend from Germany, Johannes and his daughter, Lena. We met them at Euston station then went to the tower of London and did the touristy bit. It was really interesting actually. I've been before, but I couldn't remember any of it because I was so little at the time, so it was all new to me. Lena had never been to England before so she was really excited. We got to see the crown jewels as well which were pretty impressive!

We then took a bus to a little English pub to have fish and chips (they were keen to do everything traditionally English while they had the chance!) I know I have mentioned this before but I really love London, just the whole atmosphere. It's one of those busy places where you could watch the people all day and wonder why they're there and what their story is. There's also so much to see, there's all the big, touristy, historical places then all the little secret places that have loads of character. Haha anyway my dad and I had a train to catch so we left Lena and Johannes and came home after a long day :)

Tomorrow I'm up at 6 to go to Venice with my mum...I feel like such a globe-trotter! Two cities in two days, I'm so excited :D So yes I won't be back until next Monday so I won't be posting for a while, sorry! I will miss blogging and all of you of course :) I'm sure I'll have lots of stories to tell and pictures to share when I get back so be prepared!

Thanks for reading, see you in a week :)

Ciao, Georgina x

To Be Myself Completely

I got the idea for this post from Ana, it wasn't a tag but it looks like fun. I always think of this blog a bit like a diary and I think things like this kind of help you know how you feel, however cheesy that sounds :) I might give up and not finish them all as there are so many, but I will try :) Basically you just have to write a letter for each number:
  1. Letter to your best friend
  2. Letter to your crush
  3. Letter to your parents
  4. Letter to your sibling (or closest relative)
  5. Letter to your dreams
  6. Letter to a stranger
  7. Letter to your ex-boyfriend/girlfriend/love/crush
  8. Letter to your favorite Internet friend
  9. Letter to someone you wish you could meet
  10. Letter to someone you don’t talk as much as you’d like to
  11. Letter to a deceased person you wish you could talk to
  12. Letter to the person you hate most/caused you a lot of pain
  13. Letter to someone you wish could forgive you
  14. Letter to someone you’ve drifted away from
  15. Letter to the person you miss the most
  16. Letter to someone that’s not in your city or country
  17. Letter to someone from your childhood
  18. Letter to the person you wish you could be
  19. Letter to someone that pester your mind (good or bad)
  20. Letter to the one that broke your heart the hardest
  21. Letter to someone you judged by the first impression
  22. Letter to someone you want to give a second chance to
  23. Letter to the last person you kissed
  24. Letter to the person that gave your favorite memory
  25. Letter to the person you know that is going through the worst of times
  26. Letter to the last person you made a pinky promise to
  27. Letter to the friendliest person you knew for only one day
  28. Letter to someone that changed your life
  29. Letter to the person that you want tell everything to, but too afraid to
  30. Letter to your reflection in the mirror
Ok so I will start with no. 1, very logical.

1. Letter to your best friend-
You know who you are, we've been friends as far back as I can remember and I have always admired you. Sometimes I feel like you're drifting away and I hope you recognise this, I don't want to lose you and it's easy to forget how valuable a friend like you is. Please stay close. Love you forever, Gee x

2. Letter to your crush-
I don't know you well but I wish I did. I hope none of them mess you about, I can see them doing that with ease. I would love to be better friends with you cos you seem like a nice guy, but you need to be careful who you trust.

3. Letter to your parents-
I've hated you both at times but I couldn't love you more. You're dedicated to helping me make my life what I want it to be, without being pushy and you allow me to be independent and make my own choices. I wish I could be more honest with you, I often lie to protect you cos the truth hurts and I would never want you to feel disappointed in me. Unconditional love, Georgina x

4. Letter to your sibling-
We've both had our times in the limelight, for a while I was jealous of the attention you got, I felt like I wasn't as good as you but now I've realised we both have our strengths and that you will better at some things as I will be better at others. We have so many memories and I hope we can stay as close as we always have been. I hope nothing comes between us and although I wouldn't say it, I love you :) x

5. Letter to you dreams-
I wish I could understand you. You puzzle me every morning when I try to remember you and put the pieces together, trying to work out where these thoughts come from. I've started writing you down because you're so strange. I find it hilarious to look back on you and wonder where you came from. Please visit more often, you're an amazing form of entertainment. From me x

6. Letter to a stranger-
I don't know you, you are no one in particular, I suppose you are whoever wishes to take a notice. Be strong, follow your dreams, have passion and don't let anyone stop you. Be yourself and have the power to control your actions, don't let others dictate your life. You are loved. From a stranger x

7. Letter to your ex boyfriend/love/crush-
I don't get you. You are cocky and arrogant but that's what draws people to you. I think you're a decent person really but don't have the confidence and independence to show it. I hope you grow out of your attitude and realise you're not all that brilliant. Good luck.

8. Letter to your favourite internet friend-
To all my followers: I started this blog from nothing. My first few followers made me jump up and down with joy that someone actually wanted to read what I have to say. And now, as my blog is slowly getting more popular, I'm grateful for any comment or new follower. It's such an encouragement and brings a huge smile to my face. Thank you all so much. Much love, Georgina x

Ok I think I'll stop now, I need some sleep :) This was actually really fun, it seems like a lot of work but try it, it makes you think about what you think...if that makes sense!

Thanks for reading, Georgina x

About Your Dress

Hey guys, pinch punch first day of the month! I can't believe it's August already! We've already been through half the year, isn't that crazy? And now the summer is here...well it's supposed to be, I dunno about you but we haven't had any sun for ages!

Anyway more to the point, I've been shopping...I seem to have a constant clothes shortage which my mum has finally started to appreciate, so even though I'm supposed to buy all my clothes myself, she was feeling generous and bought me some new things :)

Some of these things are for holiday- me and my mum are going to Venice where apparently if you're not 'appropriatly dressed' they wont let you into some places- like churches. So this means no shorts and covered shoulders for me! This stripey top is from H&M- I actually love it there!

These sandals are from accessorize- another great shop. They're for holiday too but more for evenings, I don't think I could walk around in them all day! They were half price but still expensive, I think my mum saw it as a good investment because we're the same shoe size, I'm sure she'll try and steal them!
This jumper's not very summery but was a good find so we got it! I'm going to sixth form in September and we don't have any uniform or dress-code so I'm going to need lots of outfits, so this was bought (from H&M) with that in mind.

These are from H&M again, I needed some comfortable shoes for walking around Venice all day. I'm not too sure about these, they're nice but don't go with everything. I don't think they'll go with a skirt and I tried them with some white cropped trousers but it looked a bit matchy. Oh well, I suppose it doesn't matter if I'm on holiday!
And last but not least, Primark sunglasses! I had another pair of these £1 beauties in blue but they mysteriously disappeared, but they were quickly replaced with these which I'm sure if you don't own a pair you will know someone who does- that's the problem with Primark!

Hopefully this lot will keep me happy for a while, I love wearing clothes for the first time when they're new, I don't know why I suppose you just feel different because you're not wearing the same old things that you dig out of your wardrobe every day! And now I'm excited about Venice! Have any of you been there before?

Thanks for reading :)

P.S. The title is a song by the Maccabees- one of the most amazing bands ever!
