Bathtime

Sorry for not posting in a few days, I've been in Bath for the weekend with my mum :) We drove to Bristol on Friday to see my step-grandma who I've only met once before. It was nice to see her but she does talk a lot! She's 84 and lives on her own so obviously likes to chat, mostly about the past and people we've never met which can get tedious! We were there for about 5hours so were exhausted when we left.
We checked into our guesthouse in Bath- it was really posh but the people were friendly :) It was a family run business but fairly small with only 5 rooms for guests and the rest of the house for the family. On Friday evening me and my mum went out for a meal in the centre of Bath and spent the next day shopping (this was as a reward for my GCSEs and also as I need clothes for sixth form) I got a few things, mainly from H&M which I'll post on here soon :) Both my parents went to university in Bath so my mum showed me all the places they used to go to and where they lived. It's such a nice place! I would consider going to uni there myself, except they don't do vet courses :(
We went out for pizza on Saturday night and the next day went to visit a family friend. She's just had a baby so we went to visit her (and little Max) for about a hour which was nice, he's such a cutey! We then drove home and spent the rest of the day just hanging around the house, I tidied my room and wrote my CV for work experience applications, fun times :)
(These pictures are all from www.weheartit.com I always try and find topical photos so was looking for one of a baby and stumbled across this beauty, it's so sweet!)

I hope you all had a good weekend, I'll try and do a clothes post tomorrow with the stuff I bought in Bath..that's if I have time, the grandparents are coming round because it's a bank holiday :)

Hopes and Ambitions

As some of you may know, and many of you may not, my main goal in life/career plan/wish is to become a vet. Unfortunately this is very difficult...like really really difficult, almost impossible. Just a little figure for you, Bristol University has 10 applicants for every one vet place. So 100 people get a place out of 1000 applicants- (that took so long to find on google!) So yeah it's crazy competitive.

Anyway more to the point, if you want to stand a chance of getting in you have to have loads of work experience so that's what I'm up to this week, working in a vets :) It's pretty interesting but does get boring as there's a lot of waiting around. I've seen some really good operations and all the staff are lovely, it's just the awkward standing around for over an hour, with nothing to do, that gets a bit tedious!

So I apologise for not posting so much this week, believe it or not, doing nothing is very tiring! Just being on my feet all day wears me out plus I'm starting to get more stressed about finding farm placements for next year. So far I've done 3 weeks in vet practices (including this week) and a week lambing on a farm so I'm not too behind but it's still stressful!

I hope you're all Ok and enjoying the summer, I'd better go and get some rest ready for my early start tomorrow, ahh working life :P
