I did warn you that I would be weird and take photos of some of my presents, well here they are.
Urban Outfitters watch bought by one of my amazing friends, taken on the cute little bag it came in, love it :)
The easel I have always dreamed of, I had no canvases to put on it so found this random magazine :P
Barry M nail varnish and lip glosh, sparkly eyeliner, Big Fatty mascara (I've had this before and it ran out, I seriously don't know how I survived without it!)
My beautiful manikin modelling the watch and horseshoe necklace- I had fun taking these!
Hope you like them :)

Bon anniversaire :)
It's my birthday! Ok...technically it's 12.30 so my birthday was yesterday, but let's not be picky. Ahh I've had such a lovely day, starting with my mum coming into my room at 7am saying "It's your birthday!! Happy Birthday!!" bringing with her a cup of tea in the special birthday mug :)
As I have lovely friends and family I got lots of lovely presents which I won't list all of but I will tell you a few as it's all very exciting!
Family-
Phone (Eeek, I love it!)
Easel (I've always wanted one of these)
Make up
Chalks & Charcoals
Mini pegs
Wooden person manikin (you know, like the ikea ones?)
Pjs (a must have)
(+ other little things all together in a big box :D)
Friends-
Paperchase Mug
Horseshoe Necklace
Elephant bracelet
Makeup
Topshop socks
and of course...Chocolate :P
Plus I got some stuff from uncles and aunties and a topshop voucher from my brother- he knows what I like :)
So all in all I was very lucky and got loads of nice things, I also had 2 cakes and some cookies so am now clinically obese! I will probably take some photos of my presents...weird thing to do, i know...that's if I have time- I never got round to that geoggers c/w and am going out for a meal avec les amis tomorrow, so yes.
Thanks for reading, I hope you feel some of my birthday joy!

Busy Bee
Busy busy busy, I had to go to the care home after school for DofE, it was actually ok, the oldies are really sweet if not a bit doddery! I just talked to them while they ate their food, then came home to some lovely maths homework which I still haven't finished, oops! And also geography coursework that's in for friday, oh joy!
Some of the things the oldies say are pretty funny-
"Did you like your food?" "Yes very nice shoes."
"I'm doing Duke of Edinburgh." "I went to school in Edinburgh."
"My name's Georgina." "How long have I been here? Well, a long time..."
So yes, sorry this is a bit rushed, it's 11.10 and there's still so much to do! I can't post tomorrow, have a meeting after school and then life drawing! Huh, I've never been in so much demand :P
At least the weather is brightening up!

Life's Good
Hello there, I am writing this with a little grin because I'm a happy bunny :) I feel like this weekend has lasted about a week already and we still have sunday :D (www.weheartit.com)
After school on friday my dad picked me up and we drove down to Wimbledon to see my auntie, uncle and 3 cousins, my brother was already there (he came from uni). So we got there around 6.30 to find a houseful of kids (all amazingly snobby- my cousins go to some bloody posh private schools.)
The Hoorah-Henry-Oh-Yar mothers came to pick up their rugrats and we were left in peace to have a nice meal. I stayed up to talk to my brother and didn't get to bed until 2pm :/ I was woken up at 7.30 the next day to do a run on Wimbledon common which takes place every Saturday so we thought we'd give it a go.
After running 5k, playing on the wii and teaching my cousin how to email (she sent me a few, all written in yellow and using every single smiley!) me and my dad went to Twickenham. He lived there when he was younger so was showing me his school and house etc. We met up with his cheese-shop-owning friend who was nice, a bit eccentric but that's ok :) Him and my dad are going to have a birthday party together so there was some planning to be done.
We came home and saw my mum (she didn't come with us) and I haven't done anything since, just the way it should be!
Thanks for reading, hope you're having a nice weekend too :)

I am here to enlighten you
So so so...I said I would have a good blog for you, but unfortunatly I have not figured out what this consists of quite yet so...I'm thinking firstly a catch up on the past few days, as I previously posted I've had science exams but let's not talk about those, it will only raise my stress levels. I had life-drawing again yesterday, this time it was a woman so was nowhere near as awkward.
I had a pretty good day today, I took in my art book to my teacher (I'm doing my GCSE and AS art this year, long story) and he was really pleased and got all excited about creative ideas and exhibitions and so on... After school I went to the old folk's home, this is for my DofE volunteering so I had to organise all of that. That's about it really, oh, I got asked by my maths teacher "Do you know what twice means?" I say no more.
This post needs interest. 10 Things you do not know about me. (but you do now)
1. I am a vegetarian. (It involves a long story including a stubborn 8 year old and the film Babe, and yes my insides do look like this.)
2. I am addicted to hot drinks. (Tea, hot chocolate, coffee, hot water, you name it, I'll drink it.)
3. I love London. (I take that back, I'm in love with London.)
4. I want to be a vet. (I know it's amazingly hard but I'm working on it, need more work experience though.)
5. My favourite season is autumn. (Misty mornings, crunchy orange leaves- too lovely.)
6. I don't want to grow up. (The future sounds good but I loved not having a care in the world, I spose you don't know what you've got til it's gone.)
7. I need music. (Doesn't everyone?)
8. I love long car journeys. (Stick the iPod in and dream. She's not in a car but she is dreaming!)
9. I like outdoorsy stuff like camping. (Just don't appreciate it until I'm at home, warm and dry.)
10. No one knows I blog except you. (It's the one secret I manage not to tell.)
Yes, now you are slightly enlightened into the life of me, that's if you did actually read it and not just look at the pretty pictures all from www.weheartit.com. Sorry I should have taken them all myself but that seemed like a bit too much effort!
Thank you for being you and for keeping No.10 a secret :)

Stress, I surrender
This is gonna be a quick one, just to say that stress has taken over, I have my Chemistry GCSE tomorrow and feel like I know nothing + physics on Wednesday and no time to revise, urgh. All this on top of feeling absolutely crappy and not having any more time left in the day.
(www.weheartit.com) If only I had time to sit with my head in my hands...
So sorry if I don't post for the next few days, I really want to do well in science and do not want to resit. I promise you I will have a really good post for you on Wednesday, I'll have to think of something first but I will make it worthwhile to make up for my bad blogging!
Thank you all so much for following and taking your time to read this + good luck to anyone with exams next week!
Georgina xx
I'm off to revise with The Surgery on R1 in the background, I love Aled :)

The eye is the camera's, the message is yours.
Here are a few of my photographs, they are all very random subjects- suprisingly a lot of flowers and bees which is odd because I mainly take pictures of people. I would have put some portraits up but seeing as I do not directly have these people's permission I thought it would be better to stick to flowers :) (Sorry for the poor quality, blogger seems to take my well-focussed pictures and make them slightly grainy!)
Thanks for reading, or in this case, looking :)

Friday's Quotes of the Week
Friday :D Ahh the end of the week, I know I should be out with my friends or something but instead I'm at home, hoping to get the video player working so i can watch Bridget Jones (We don't have it on dvd :P) and looking forward to my pizza!
www.weheartit.com
So a long week filled with boring lessons, exams, too much snow but lots of good times, I think it should be ended with my top 5 quotes from this week. At school I take down pretty much anything remotely funny said by people, mainly teachers. I will try to put them in context as some of them might be a bit 'you-had-to-be-there-ish'.
1.) "Maths is like a jam sandwich, the more you put in the more you get out."
2.) (My friend had just a drawn a nose on paper, teacher holds it up to class) "Boys, put your hand up if you think this looks like a pair of breasts." (Teacher puts hand up)
3.) (In snowy weather) "My shoes have melted!"
4.) "You need a shawl to be beautiful."
5.) "We're doing this so that in the speaking exam you will automatically go into the glorious future tense we all dream of."
So I hope you like them, don't worry there are plenty more where those came from! Hope you are all well, thanks for reading!

Well that was awkward...
A while ago me and my mum decided to do a life drawing course, we chose intermediate rather than beginners because we didn't want it to be too easy (bad idea). So anyway we went last night for the first time, got there and it was a class full of men who were all really professional and amazing drawers.
So we sort of stood there, looking awkward, when a wrinkly 70-something year old man came out of the cupboard in a dressing gown and flipflops, stood on the block at the front, took off the gown and just stood there facing everyone, with zero dignity. Of course everyone took it in their stride except us, we just stood at the back giggling and looking embarrassed :/
We soon found out that life drawing is really difficult, the proportions are impossible to get right and according to the tutor we weren't getting the 'flow' of the shapes. So we came home with our confidence knocked, feeling embarrased and with 4 crappy drawings of a naked pensioner. I was gonna put some pics up but I didn't think you'd appreciate Arthur in the nuddy pants.

Bigger Shoes to Fill
I feel I will always be in someone else's shadow. Never the star of the show more the stem holding up a flower, always supporting rather than leading. I know there will always be someone better, always bigger shoes to fill. This I can accept. However I am the friend who makes you seem prettier, funnier, more confident, but you have made me that way, you have made me second best. If I was ever to take the limelight I dont't know what would happen, it would be a shock to both of us, and I know you wouldn't like it.
I don't need friends like you, I need friends who treat me as equal not as an aquaintance. I need friends who make me feel good about myself. What do I get from our friendship?
The Holiday
Arthur: Iris, in the movies we have leading ladies and we have the best friend. You, I can tell, are a leading lady, but for some reason you are behaving like the best friend.
Iris: You're so right. You're supposed to be the leading lady of your own life, for god's sake!

Small but Mighty
Hey, how are you? I hope Monday treated you all well, as for me I had a good day, nothing special. I sorted out my Duke of Edinburgh group finally so that was a stress off the list!
I thought I would show you something I've recently made, I got the idea off various blogs each using different materials. I didn't know what to write so being imaginative I chose my name...
So after making this I felt inspired and wanted to make another one for my brother. I mentioned it to him and he didn't seem too bothered but I insisted and made him this one, based on the YouTube video "Wear Sunscreen" (I recommend you watch it, it's a good'un). The banner's quite small (letters about 1 inch tall) but don't let it fool you, it took freaking ages (I had to stick each letter to the thread with tiny bits of sellotape.)
So now I just need to post it to him and not only hope he likes it but that it doesn't get ripped on the way! Let me know what you think and if you have any other ideas of what to write, maybe quotes or sayings?
Thanks for reading, Georgina xx

Birthday Wishes
Well my birthday is on the 27th of January so I need to start thinking of some ideas. I really need a new phone so that is the top of my list, I went with my dad today and chose the 'tocco lite'. I have no idea about special features or anything so just don't ask, I just know it looked pretty :)
So that being my main present I need to think of some nice little things. (Usually bought by my mum, these things need a woman's touch!)
1.) Fairy lights- I love them! I have some plastic fish ones that I got when I was younger that are a tad tacky but still find a place in my room :) (Sorry I don't know where this picture's from)
2.) This poster- perfect for my red room, but could also be a good motto to follow.(www.flickr.com)
3.) "Wreck this Journal" Keri Smith- I want this so much. To sum it up it's a journal that tells you exactly what to do, from ripping the pages to covering them in dirt. It's for us perfectionists who need to lighten up! (www.amazon.com)
4.) Mini Pegs- amazingly random, the other day I made a banner thing for my room and used up all my little flower pegs, I really want some more for future creative moments :) (www.fredaldous.co.uk)
Hope you're all well and have had a nice weekend :)

A good day with bad elements
So today I got up to do a cross country race in the snow. I do not know why I run, it keeps me fit and it's addictive, but turning up to muddy fields (in this case snowy) in the freezing cold weather just to get hot, sweaty and beaten by everybody, I just don't get it.
But today was different, I really enjoyed it. They cut out the huge hill and stream because of the snow so it was lovely and the alternative route was picture perfect. And to top it all off I didn't come last :D I came second last. Yes, rubbish, but someone has to, no?
So, bad elements, this wasn't just a pun on the chilly weather. Today my brother went back to uni after his christmas holiday. This isn't too big of a deal but it is sad because I really do miss him when he's gone, we get on well and talk a lot so it really is weird when he's not here.
Another devil- revision, I am currently revising for my science modules but it's so boring! I just cuddle up on my bed, turn the radio on and write notes, the only bearable way.
My last complaint- braces. Not the 'cool vintage hold up your trousers' type, the horrible 'you have wonky teeth so we're going to put metal things on them' type. I had mine tightened yesterday so they hurt :(

Snow Day
So today was a snow day so in true Duffle Coats and Mittens style I piled on the layers and ventured outside. I met with some friends to play on the ice and in the snow, we then defrosted with hot chocolate, I came home and went straight outside to take some photos.
This morning, I woke up, opened the curtains and...
The white stuff
Pretty
