I Found A Whistle

I have been very neglectful to you all in the past week so I thought I'd do a quick (although it will probably take me ages) catch-up post.

Friday- I worked at the cattery in the morning and got paid :D (I went there for three mornings on work experience and at the end she gave me 50 quid, which was unexpected but very welcome!) In the evening I got the train to London on my own and met my uncle and Euston station, he took me to their house then he and my aunt went out for a meal, leaving me to look after my three cousins :)

Saturday- All 6 of us travelled across London on the tube, by foot and by taxi eventually getting to London zoo :D We spent the day there then went out for a Chinese in the evening, to congratulate me on my GCSE results which was very nice!

Sunday- One of the kids had rugby so me, my aunt and the two girls went for a walk and picked lots of blackberries to make an apple and blackberry crumble. We came home and had a lazy day, playing on the Wii and baking! In the evening we all watched Terminator Salvation which was surprisingly good even though I haven't seen the first 3 films!

Monday- Two of the kids were back at school so my aunt, the youngest and I went for a coffee before dropping me off at the tube station. I got the 45min tube then the train home. In the evening I had work at the swimming pool which was a bit of a bore but never mind!

Tuesday- I had enrolment day at sixth form, it made me nervous but it was good to see everyone. In the evening me and some friends cycled to a nearby village to my friend's house as her parents were away. We just hung round and watched TV then Kill Bill (the boys' suggestion!) which was actually quite good! We all stayed over, watched Wild Child in the morning then cycled home :)

Wednesday- It was my best friend's birthday so I came home and had a shower before gong to her house to give her my present (MGMT tickets for me and her- can't wait!) I worked at the pool for a few hours then went back to her house to have a shower before going out for a meal with about 10 of us which was really nice.
Thursday- Today I was supposed to get up early to go shopping with my friend but I got phone call from her at 1 when I was still in asleep (oops!) saying she was outside my house and apologising because she was late! I got up and we went shopping for about an hour. I had work again and came home to sort everything out for sixth form which starts tomorrow! I'm really nervous, I still don't know what to wear and if I have the right stuff but oh well, I just hope I wake up in the morning!!

The Rest of the World has Gone Home

As you may know my parents went away last week so I decided to have a BBQ with a big group of friends. I tried to explain my friends to you in another post but I'll give it another go:

I have the group of friends who I used to hang round with at school. They like drinking/parties/boys and generally go out a lot getting drunk and having fun. If I invited them round they'd bring vodka, fags and a load of their friends. They're the ones I go camping with and when I tell you about my drunken tales they're bound to be involved! They're all awesome though, I don't want you to think I hang round with a load of bitches, they wouldn't make me do anything and we always have a good time!
Then there's my other friends. There's a group called 'the clan' which sounds really intimidating but they're all lovely. I know lots of people in the group individually so get invited to some of their things. They're really friendly and have BBQs and gatherings at people's houses. If I invited them round they'd bring a few beers, a DVD and would take their shoes off at the door. (My mum would love them)
So yeah, they sound like 2 extremes but it's not that bad. I get on with both groups just as well so it's nice for me as I get to do both types of things- have friendly gatherings but still enjoy going out and messing around. So back to my free house for the week. I wanted to invite people round but had the trouble of deciding who. In the end I went with the quieter, friendly ones as I don't want my house trashed by drunkards and party crashers. I said they could drink so they brought some beers and cider etc. on condition they took the cans away at the end which they obediently followed!

The plan was a BBQ but the typical English weather went against us as usual! So we stayed inside :) It was a really fun night, a few people got a bit drunk but didn't cause any trouble. A bowl was broken which wasn't a problem but I still got an apologetic facebook message from the guy who did it insisting I let him pay (I told him not to worry!) You get the idea of what they're like! I would put some photos up but they're all rubbish, maybe if any more are put on facebook I'll show you :) Haha so yeah that's my friends for you...it's gonna be weird when we go back to school, I might have to pick whick group to go with as they'd never all be friends together :/ It'll sort itself out, I'm sure :)

Simple

I've had a busy week, a stressful week, a week of ups and downs and highs and lows. I was supposed to finish my art this evening, and now I'm supposed to be doing science, but I haven't and I'm not. I was only going to have a bit of my giant lollipop but I ate half of it and now my tongue is purple and my fingers sticky. My room was going to be tidy and it was going to be an early night but now it's 12.01 and I know it's the weekend and I know it's not friday any more but I am happy and life is good so I am going to be grateful for that. I just thought I would share that with you. Simple, that's how I feel today :)

Another Sunny Day

Oh dear, my bad-blogger-syndrome is back. Instead of making another post full of apologies and excuses I will try and make an interesting one :) Well to be honest, I haven't had the most exciting of weeks, here's how it went (with a load of pretty pictures to make it look nice!):

Monday- the first day back after the holidays always seems to be the funniest, I suppose it's because I hadn't seen my friends that much over easter. I did get a bit stressed though with so much art to do, most of this was taken out on my mum :/ The old people's home was boring as per and I didn't go to young farmers, I was too busy stressing!

Tuesday- In the morning I had my sixth form interview which was utterly pointless and should not be awarded that title. Later on- even though I'm allowed to miss double PE every week for art, I couldn't be bothered to clear the stuff from my lonely corner in the art room, and it was so sunny outside! So I played badminton and golf- basically sat on the field talking to my friends, good old Mr PE man even stuck up for us when the evil PE lady told us off.

Wednesday- I finally took in my life drawing to show my art teacher, I got some nice comments as well as a lot of funny looks from people looking at the fat naked people all over my desk

Thursday- my parents went away, meaning there was no one to wake me up...even thought I set 4 alarms I woke up at 11 o'clock and practically ran to school, haha I made it just in time for maths :P I also had to lie and say I'd been at the orthodontist, they'll never know ;)

Friday- another sunny day, finished off with double french, it sounds evil but it can be pretty fun!
Saturday- did lots of art (again!) then went to the park for a BBQ which was good, it was a very random bunch of folk but good times all the same!

So yes, a pretty average week in the life of me :) I'm so glad the sun's back out, I do love the winter but nothing can beat a few rays, it's got us all planning for the summer- 12 weeks of nothingness and time, sounds like heaven :)
