Random Animalistic Gathering

I thought I'd share my week with you, in a long, picture heavy post :) But don't let that put you off, these photos took me bloody ages to find and put together! Even if you don't read it all just look at the pretty pictures :) I tried to keep people's faces out of them just because they don't know they're on this blog, that's the reason for the cut-off eyes and backs of people's heads! There are a few faces but they're people I know would be happy to be on here :)

So anyway, this week was 'Rag Week' at my school. I've posted about it before but in case you didn't see- basically we dress up everyday to raise as much money as possible for charity :)

Monday- It was a Cowboys and Indians theme, the majority of people wore jeans and a checked shirt with the odd cowboy hat or headdress! I was boring and went for a shirt and plaited my hair :) Pictures below: top left- arm wrestling competition- basically we watched the boys being overly competitive and earning man-points! Other pictures are of the better costumes :)

Tuesday- Fictional Characters theme and the slave trade (labour trade to be PC). People volunteer to be a slave for the day and groups bid to buy them- one slave was bought for £90 which is pretty good! They then have to obey every command eg. carrying bags, dancing on tables, being painted on etc. Some of the things went way too far like having to lick mayonnaise off each other and other things I won't mention on here :/ There were some good costumes though, I was Daphne from Scooby Doo :)
Pics: Top- Simba & Pikachu, Slave Auction, Bottom- Crowds watching the slaves, Daphne, Minnie Mouse and a wolf!

Tuesday night- it was our first of four sixth form parties :) We had such a good time, we all got wristbands for the bar on entry as they just said 'Are you 18?' so obviously we lied and didn't get IDed haha! The theme was 'P'- I went as a Paratrooper (That's me in my black vest and army headband!) Other costumes were Pink Ladies, Pacman, Pirates, Policemen, Ping Pong Players, Pussycat Dolls etc. The outfits were great!

Wednesday was brilliant but horrible. Everyone was so hungover and in our case still drunk :/ But it was pyjama day so that made it a bit better! It was hilarious seeing a whole school of hungover people walking to school in dressing gowns and trackies! For obvious reasons there weren't many pictures but here are the few I could find...

Thursday- It was Beach Party day which was absolutely ridiculous for the middle of October! The general trend was wearing nice warm woolly clothes with a random flower garland on top, but a few people went all out with grass skirts and Hawaiian shirts...

Friday- The last day and a pretty good theme- Superheroes :) Most people had given up by now and just wore a mask or some pants over their jeans :P It was also the talent show which wasn't great, apart from the teacher's band!
Pics: Top- Superheroes, Batman, Bottom- People off 'That Mitchell and Webb Look' apparently and right- me and the girl who was supposed to be an incredible too- poor effort!
I won't bore you any longer with more ramblings, thanks so much for reading or just looking at the photos!

Rags to Riches

Poor blogging again- it's now become a weekend thing just cos I'm so busy during the week! I am sorry, I do try to keep you updated but it's just finding the time that's tricky.

Well I'll tell you about last night, it was very random... There are quite a lot of new people at our sixth form and we're just starting to get to know them really. Anyway it was one guy's birthday yesterday so he invited a few people round his house even though he doesn't know them that well! It turned out to be 5 girls and one guy from our secondary school then about 12 new guys that none of us knew! It was quite a good night, his parents were so nice- he's just moved from France so they're really keen for him to make new friends in England. They kept bringing out food and beers and making sure we were ok- embarrassing for him but it was so sweet!

Anyway, lots more happened than that but I won't bore you! I was gonna tell you about our school's rag week. They do it every year and basically there's a theme everyday and you pay £1 to dress up. It's in 2 weeks and they've just announced the themes...

Monday- Cowboys and IndiansTuesday- Fictional CharactersTuesday night- our sixth form has about 4 parties a year, they're not organised by the school (as the teachers like to remind us!) but they're apparently pretty good :) The theme is 'P' so you could be a punk/panda/priest/prisoner/pirate etc.
Wednesday- Pyjamas (purposefully put the day after the party as every one's tired and hungover!)
Thursday- Beach Party (who thought of this theme for winter!?)
Friday- Superheroes
So yars, it's going to be a pretty funny week seeing everyone dressed up :) If you have any costume suggestions then please tell me, I need ideas!

Thanks for reading,

Viens Voir Happy Teenager

So...GCSE results. I wasn't going to write them on here but why not? I write this blog to be honest not modest. After all that anticipation and lack of sleep (I was up til 5am in the end) I got 7 A*s and 4 As and yes I was bloody surprised!! So many people got amazing results- most of my friends got all As and A*s, we're such geeks 8) So I spent the day a friend's house with a load of really happy people watching Mulan and our prom video :D My parents were really pleased with my grades and my grandma cried down the phone! She's usually a tough nut but she was so emotional!
In the evening I managed to get a plus-one to a party...it was a very select group of people, very much 'the cool kids' of our school so awkwardness was expected. We got there at about 9pm to find about 40 drunk kids, fun times :) It wasn't awkward- I just got drunk and stuck with the people I know :P We got kicked out at 11.30 so went to the park for a bit, I ended up getting home at 2.30 (my parents go to bed and trust me to get myself home) because the guys who walked me back were so slow! It was a good night, I'm glad I went, otherwise I would have been sat at home when I wanted to celebrate :D
Yesterday evening I went to a friend's house with a big group of people to watch movies :D We all snuggled up on the sofas with duvets all night :) Being cool we watched Robin Hood (the cartoon version :P) then Harry Potter, where we sat deciding who was which character (I'm Ginny :P) I ended up getting home at 1.30, ahh I do love the freedom of the holidays. I've had such a nice time recently hanging out with friends just being relaxed that I'm dreading getting up early and trying to find my way in a new school :/ Oh I'll leave it for another post :)

How did your results go if you got them on Tuesday?

Thank you for reading, Georgina xx

P.S. The title is from a song called 'Cooler Couleur' by Crookers. Check it out, it's a bit weird but had a good beat and the lyrics are pretty funny :)

The Rest of the World has Gone Home

As you may know my parents went away last week so I decided to have a BBQ with a big group of friends. I tried to explain my friends to you in another post but I'll give it another go:

I have the group of friends who I used to hang round with at school. They like drinking/parties/boys and generally go out a lot getting drunk and having fun. If I invited them round they'd bring vodka, fags and a load of their friends. They're the ones I go camping with and when I tell you about my drunken tales they're bound to be involved! They're all awesome though, I don't want you to think I hang round with a load of bitches, they wouldn't make me do anything and we always have a good time!
Then there's my other friends. There's a group called 'the clan' which sounds really intimidating but they're all lovely. I know lots of people in the group individually so get invited to some of their things. They're really friendly and have BBQs and gatherings at people's houses. If I invited them round they'd bring a few beers, a DVD and would take their shoes off at the door. (My mum would love them)
So yeah, they sound like 2 extremes but it's not that bad. I get on with both groups just as well so it's nice for me as I get to do both types of things- have friendly gatherings but still enjoy going out and messing around. So back to my free house for the week. I wanted to invite people round but had the trouble of deciding who. In the end I went with the quieter, friendly ones as I don't want my house trashed by drunkards and party crashers. I said they could drink so they brought some beers and cider etc. on condition they took the cans away at the end which they obediently followed!

The plan was a BBQ but the typical English weather went against us as usual! So we stayed inside :) It was a really fun night, a few people got a bit drunk but didn't cause any trouble. A bowl was broken which wasn't a problem but I still got an apologetic facebook message from the guy who did it insisting I let him pay (I told him not to worry!) You get the idea of what they're like! I would put some photos up but they're all rubbish, maybe if any more are put on facebook I'll show you :) Haha so yeah that's my friends for you...it's gonna be weird when we go back to school, I might have to pick whick group to go with as they'd never all be friends together :/ It'll sort itself out, I'm sure :)

I hope you've all had a good week :) Thanks for reading, Georgina x

Geeks and Jocks

Ahhh Easter at last, I can finally relax, lie-in and not stress about school etc. Yes I will be revising but that will have to fit around my schedule of laziness :)

Anyway let me tell you about Friday's awesome party. A girl in my year lives in the middle of nowhere, has no neighbours, a massive garden and a laid-back mum... So on friday, kind of to celebrate the end of term she had a 'Geeks and Jocks' party, about 130 people were invited, mostly from my year. The theme was basically an excuse for all the girls to dress like slags...I failed at this and was told "Georgina you look like a librarian, here are some hotpants they'll make you look like more of a slag." Haha, this isn't very me but I just thought, what the hell, no one will remember anything anyway (apart from the fact that there are about 6 albums on facebook all from this one party!)
Anyway, we went to my friend's house to get ready and had to set up the tent when we got to the party- this was so we could get drunk and our parents wouldn't have a clue :) Haha this wasn't easy seeing as it was already dark and no one was helping, grrr.

It was an awesome party, I spent most of the night taking to people, danced a bit and I dunno hung round I spose...haha I make it sound so crap! I kind of got off with a guy in my year that I've never spoken to before but y'know...he seemed nice! I think quite a lot went on...a bit of crying and throwing up from other people, but also fun, dancing and talking to a load of random people! In the end I slept in a tent with 2 of my friends taking up all the space and me left squished next to 2 other people getting off all night which was far from pleasant :/

In the morning we all felt like crap and had to walk about a mile home which was horrible as we had to carry all our stuff- tents, bags, sleeping bags etc. Now we can sit at home and hear all the gossip and rumours that always come hand in hand with an eventful night :) I would put some photos on but most have other people in and I don't want to put them up without permission, sorry!

Parents go away for one night...

Blergh I feel ill. We went to a party and I drank a bit too much. I don't really remember much except locking some people outside, dancing badly, playing twister and crying for an hour on the bathroom floor. In the end we were kicked out and I threw up in their neighbour's front garden :/

I had 5 people staying at my house so we had a nice 2 mile drunk walk home and then all talked and ate random food until 5am. They were all gone by about 12 today so I was left to clear up, it took me 2hours, no kidding they are so messy!

So then I watched TV and fell asleep for 3hours which wasn't good cos now I just feel ill. The rents are back in about half an hour. Oh I feel like a fool. At one point last night I had a dictionary and was reading out random words. Cringe.

The worst thing is the strange hangover cravings, I've eaten a whole pizza, a pack of maltesers, beans on toast, crisps, a few grapes and lots of orange juice.

So yer, an interesting start to half term. Oh well it could have been worse, at least my parents weren't here :)
