Pacemaker

I haven't posted in a while. The weather's nice, school is shit. It's a 4 day weekend but exams are coming up. The royal wedding was lovely, I need a plan to marry Prince Harry asap. Went shopping today, did lots of impulse buying. Spent ages searching for a Union Jack flag for my ginger spice costume, might have to go as a genie instead. Crazy moment last night where I found some guts from somewhere but that didn't go anywhere. Listening to Jamie T and appreciating music again. Feeling guilty for not revising but the only way is essex is just addictive. Having people round tomorrow and trying to work that thing out...

White Blank Page

I'm a happy chappy. I've had a good week. Last week was long and slow and boring with no motivation and a lack of smiles. This weeks has been varied, it's gone quickly and lots has come out of it.

Thursday was As level results day. It also happened to be the same day I had a course for work so when everyone found out their results, I was sat in a room listening to some old guy waffle on about common sense. I could have rung the school but I couldn't stand the thought of someone reading my results to me! I went in at the end of the day and had to painfully wait while the teacher searched through every list trying to find my name.

I'll be honest I was expecting the worst, I'm aiming for As but was expecting Ds and Es. In the end I got AAB (As in Physics and Biology and B in Chemistry) which I was pretty chuffed with :) I'll have to resit the B which seems pathetic but I really do need an A to be a vet! As for the A in physics, that's a miracle! I cant wait to see my cocky teacher who told me I would never get an A however hard I worked.

As for the rest of the year group, there's a lot of disappointment. I've never heard so many Us and Es going round the place, it's mental. Thank God for resits!

Hope you're all good you were pleased with any results you've got recently :)

Thanks for reading,

Georgina xx

Churlish May

Ok, I now it's a few days late but HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I will soon be doing a post on resolutions but I am very busy at the mo with revising and sitting on my arse, feeling bad for not revising. January exams, bad times.

I'll be back soon!

Bonne Chance

So this is it...GCSE results day. Good luck to you all although it's twenty to three in the morning when I'm writing this so you probably won't read it until after you've opened that dreaded envelope.

I've had an alright day, mixed in with lots of nerves, stress and conversations about what would be 'disappointing' or 'adequate' or 'my highest expectation'. I'll be completely honest with you now, I don't have too much to worry about, seeing as all GCSEs count for is getting into college/sixth form and I am in the nice posistion to have that pretty much granted. Buuuut...this doesn't stop me being nervous!

I went to young farmers tonight (I basically started going as I want to be a vet and thought it would look good on the old CV, I am starting to enjoy it though!) But anyway, yer it was just a meeting in the pub- I told them about results day to which their reaction was "You've gotta get wasted tonight" After lots of persuasion they bought me a coke- "because we don't want to make it too obvious but don't worry it's got something stronger in" Hahaha gotta love em :) I don't know what they put in it but it tasted pretty good :L

Huh, I'm so worried. I am excited though. This sounds weird but it feels like Christmas...because of the anticipation. The big build up to one small moment, like opening a present that you might be disappointed with and have to wait a whole year for another...opening that envelope could be good or bad, it doesn't have too much impact on your life but still means a lot. I dunno, I just hope I do as well as I want- I worked hard, I could've worked harder but you always can.

Good luck everyone, I hope you all get the results that you were hoping for.

P.S. The original title of this post was 'bon chance' then I realised that's incorrect- now I'm shit scared about my french result!

A New Look

Hey guys, just thought I'd share the fact that my blog has a new look...well a new background :) I didn't want you to get confused and think you were on a random blog that you'd never seen before!

I finally cracked the blog background changing thing and decided to go for it. I dunno why it was pink before, I'm not a very pink person which will probably surprise you giving the old colour scheme :P The new one's very me, what do you think? Sort of union jack with a twist, actually the more I look, the more I like it! Next it'll be the header, it's getting a bit old now but I'll leave it there for a bit as not to confuse you too much!

Better get some shut-eye now. A-level results tomorrow (later actually cos it's 2am) good luck everyone! I've just done my GCSEs but I did As art early so I'm getting my result tomorrow. I'm not too worried seeing as I'm not carrying it on, I just hope it gets delivered (I didn't want to go into school to get it so I gave in an envelope apparently with the wrong stamp on so it won't arrive! Typical me)

A trail for the devil to erase

I had my first exam today...scary! It was RE which we all have to do so it's only half a GCSE but still. I think I did ok but I quoted the Qur'an on a Judaism question :/ Oh well it's over now, I never had to do RE again :D

On my last post I said how many photos there were from the last week of school and they're still coming! I wanted to show you this one below, it made me laugh, it's me and my friend by the exit thing at school :P Haha I have no idea why...

And listen to this song: Piazza, New York catcher- Belle and Sebastian, it's lovely :)

I hope you're all ok and good luck to everyone who has exams!

A helping hand?

I'm a bit stressed. I am currently doing my AS level art exam, the title is "Rhythms and Cycles" and at first I felt completly uninspired, I did my ideas page and still just had a huge mental block, not helped by my crazy art teacher who tends to go on and on and just make me stressed and confused.

So anyway, I've finally come up with a hazy idea which I either love or hate- I can't tell. Basically I'm going to focus on the rhythms of life- emotions, thoughts and general outlook. I've been told to keep a diary for a week and write down every idea and emotion I have alongside photos/tickets etc. The focus of my project will be about now- how I see things and the things I feel, as well as my day-to-day life. I want to link these to my past to see how things change and how I've changed as a person.
This is where you lovely followers and fellow bloggers come in :) I thought of using symbolism in my final piece, three objects to represent my past, present and future. But I would also like other people's input to show different views. If you could tell me which objects best represent your past, present and future, it would be fantastic and would really help me with my project. They can be any objects, even animals, foods or plants. I won't use any of your personal details just the info you give me.

For example my mum said...
Past- wheelbarrow (she has worked hard but needed support)
Present- folder (she feels overloaded with work and general stress)
Future- she hopes would be roses (sweet and beautiful?)

Sorry if I've explained this really badly, it's difficult to tell you all the ideas without making the post too long. If you could help me it would be great, feel free to ask questions if it's confusing. Thank you :)

Stress, I surrender

This is gonna be a quick one, just to say that stress has taken over, I have my Chemistry GCSE tomorrow and feel like I know nothing + physics on Wednesday and no time to revise, urgh. All this on top of feeling absolutely crappy and not having any more time left in the day.

(www.weheartit.com) If only I had time to sit with my head in my hands...

So sorry if I don't post for the next few days, I really want to do well in science and do not want to resit. I promise you I will have a really good post for you on Wednesday, I'll have to think of something first but I will make it worthwhile to make up for my bad blogging!

Thank you all so much for following and taking your time to read this + good luck to anyone with exams next week!

I'm off to revise with The Surgery on R1 in the background, I love Aled :)
