Run Forrest Run

Urgh. Running. It's unfortunately one of my hobbies...don't ask why it's just one of those things that you get into and it's hard to get out of I suppose. I've been training at a club for about 5 years now, I'm no good, I usually come almost last in cross country and try to avoid athletics like the plague.

Annoyingly, tomorrow I have to do a school's race. For some reason they put me through to the second round even though I purposefully didn't turn up to the first one...and it's so early in the morning! 9.35am, ridiculous! You can tell it's organised by adults. It's a 3k...it sounds like a long way but it's my favourite distance- any shorter and the people just sprint away, I'm usually left on the start line for a few seconds before taking up my leisurely jogging pace :)

I suppose running is good though, if you do it you'll get what I'm saying...it's horrible but addictive! I'd better get some sleep in preparation for my early start, grr.

One day your life will flash before your eyes, make sure it's worth watching

It's been an odd weekend. I ran on saturday morning, did really badly as per...

I came home and spent the whole afternoon doing art- planning for my final piece which I've already started. I'm doing the seven deadly sins, I was going to do 4 canvases (because 7 is too many) each of a different sin. Then I came up with the idea to make each one into a perfume advert, so I spent the whole of Saturday planning for this and now am starting to regret it and wish I'd stuck with the simple, original idea :/

Simple canvases or perfume adverts? Oh I dont know, a few hours chatting to the stoner art teacher may help, but then again it will probably confuse me further :/
(One of the pics I spent ages setting up and editing...)

Today I went to see my grandparents which was nice but they started talking about what they'll do when one of them dies which was thouroughly depressing. It does make me think that time goes so quickly and one day I will be sitting in an armchair saying "Oh I remember when I was 16..."

It's sad how time goes, but it does make me want to live my life well, I wish we lasted forever, it's just not fair.

A pretty mundane weekend. Urgh and now it's so late, must go to bed, now Georgina, not later, you'll regret it.

Thank you for reading

Life's Good

Hello there, I am writing this with a little grin because I'm a happy bunny :) I feel like this weekend has lasted about a week already and we still have sunday :D (www.weheartit.com)
After school on friday my dad picked me up and we drove down to Wimbledon to see my auntie, uncle and 3 cousins, my brother was already there (he came from uni). So we got there around 6.30 to find a houseful of kids (all amazingly snobby- my cousins go to some bloody posh private schools.)

The Hoorah-Henry-Oh-Yar mothers came to pick up their rugrats and we were left in peace to have a nice meal. I stayed up to talk to my brother and didn't get to bed until 2pm :/ I was woken up at 7.30 the next day to do a run on Wimbledon common which takes place every Saturday so we thought we'd give it a go.

After running 5k, playing on the wii and teaching my cousin how to email (she sent me a few, all written in yellow and using every single smiley!) me and my dad went to Twickenham. He lived there when he was younger so was showing me his school and house etc. We met up with his cheese-shop-owning friend who was nice, a bit eccentric but that's ok :) Him and my dad are going to have a birthday party together so there was some planning to be done.

We came home and saw my mum (she didn't come with us) and I haven't done anything since, just the way it should be!

Thanks for reading, hope you're having a nice weekend too :)

A good day with bad elements

So today I got up to do a cross country race in the snow. I do not know why I run, it keeps me fit and it's addictive, but turning up to muddy fields (in this case snowy) in the freezing cold weather just to get hot, sweaty and beaten by everybody, I just don't get it.

But today was different, I really enjoyed it. They cut out the huge hill and stream because of the snow so it was lovely and the alternative route was picture perfect. And to top it all off I didn't come last :D I came second last. Yes, rubbish, but someone has to, no?
So, bad elements, this wasn't just a pun on the chilly weather. Today my brother went back to uni after his christmas holiday. This isn't too big of a deal but it is sad because I really do miss him when he's gone, we get on well and talk a lot so it really is weird when he's not here.

Another devil- revision, I am currently revising for my science modules but it's so boring! I just cuddle up on my bed, turn the radio on and write notes, the only bearable way.

My last complaint- braces. Not the 'cool vintage hold up your trousers' type, the horrible 'you have wonky teeth so we're going to put metal things on them' type. I had mine tightened yesterday so they hurt :(
